St Enodoc Church, Daymer Bay & Marquee Wedding At Greenway Field, Trebetherick
It’s marquee weddings like this that I love capturing as a Cornwall wedding photographer. Lauren and Mike had a summer festival wedding on the north coast of Cornwall at St Enodoc Church and a marquee on Greenway Field in Trebetherick next to Daymer Bay and Polzeath.
The wedding ceremony took place at St Enodoc Church, a beautiful and tranquil location, one of the most scenic churches in Cornwall along with St Just in Roseland Church. St Enodoc Church stands secluded within the sand dunes above Daymer Bay and nestled between the fairways of St Enodoc Golf Course. I read somewhere that the church used to be almost totally buried in sand hundreds of years ago and parishioners used to have to enter the church through a hole in the roof!
Highlights of Lauren and Mike’s wedding day included fun bridal preparation time with Lauren and her bridesmaids, a packed Daymer Bay all cheering the married couple on the beach, and a stunning first dance to ‘there will be time’ by Mumford and Sons & Baaba Maal. A song that I personally love and it worked beautifully, very apt too with Mike being from South Africa and joined by many family and friends who travelled to Cornwall from South Africa. It was such as fun wedding with delicious food, live music, sunshine, sunset…and a whole lot of love. Here are just some of the images that tell the story of their day
